About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Leading Hand to join our team at McArthur River Mine project. We are looking for an accomplished leader with a demonstrated ability to successfully motivate and support our growing team. You will work a two weeks on, two weeks off roster.

What you will be doing

•         Providing leadership through instruction, information, training, and supervision to all site-based maintenance employees.
•         Liaising with stakeholders about breakdowns and scheduled repairs in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor.
•         Ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out on applicable plant.
•         Communicating with relevant OEMs regarding warranty issues.
•         Ensuring ongoing compliance with all WHS and HR policies and procedures.
•         Build strong relationships with site stakeholders to support efficient maintenance outcomes and customer satisfaction.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require the following attributes and skills:

•         Heavy Diesel qualification (AUR or MEM) with a minimum of 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience.
•         A comprehensive knowledge of heavy plant, equipment, and components, strong exposure and experience with Caterpillar is advantageous.
•         Sound ability in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), SIS and ET.
•         Excellent organisational and time management skills.
•         Well-developed verbal/written communication skills.
•         Effective time management skills.
•         Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
•         A demonstrated commitment to safety.

This role requires working outdoors in challenging conditions, including exposure to intense sun, high temperatures, heavy rain, and dusty environments, so resilience and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
