About the                                                                                                 

As a Project Officer with NSW Resources, you will provide vital project management and delivery support for the NSW Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Strategy, helping to advance initiatives that support economic growth, investment and the future of the state's resources sector. Working across a range of strategic projects, you will coordinate governance activities, prepare reporting and briefs, monitor progress against key milestones and contribute to informed decision-making that helps turn strategy into action.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to complex policy and strategic initiatives while developing your project management expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. As part of a dynamic team, you will work closely with stakeholders across government and industry, contributing to meaningful projects that help shape the future of critical minerals and high-tech metals in NSW.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will bring:

• Experience supporting the delivery of projects, programs or strategic initiatives
• Strong project coordination, planning and organisational skills
• Strong written and communication skills
• Experience preparing reports, briefs and governance documentation
• The ability to monitor project progress and track milestones and deliverables
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• An interest in government strategy, policy development or the resources sector
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering quality outcomes as part of a high-performing team

Essential Requirements

• Current valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel within NSW
• Compliance with pre-employment probity screening is mandatory and a condition of engagement.

NSW Resources, a division of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, is responsible for the strategic management, regulation, and sustainable development of New South Wales' mineral and energy resources.
