Dairy Technician

About the role

Mick Neal Pty. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dairy Technician to join our team in Taree, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our customers dairy operations between Hunter Valley & Mid North Coast of NSW as a Dairy Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of conventional and robotic milking equipment & associated systems that are essential for a dairy farm to operate. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the efficiency, safety, and productivity of our facility.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair Conventional & Robotic Milking plant along with associated equipment used on dairy farms. e.g. Automatic Calf feeding, Grain Feeding & processing equipment & Dairy hygiene.

• Conduct regular preventative maintenance of milking plant & associated infrastructure to identify potential hazards or malfunctions

• Troubleshoot faults and implement solutions to minimise downtime

• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of work completed

• Collaborate with customers & managers to address technical issues and optimise operational efficiency

• Respond promptly to emergency repairs to maintain continuous dairy operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an Electrical, Mechanical trades person or dairy technician, ideally within agricultural or dairy settings

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems & or Mechanical & fitting

• Basic computer skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults

• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Physical capability to perform manual work and work at heights when required

• Valid driver's license and reliability in responding to urgent maintenance calls
