About the role

NSW Ultimate Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Blacktown NSW 2148, this role is central to delivering high-quality tiling solutions to our clients across residential and commercial projects. As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for the precise installation of tiles on walls and floors, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the reputation NSW Ultimate Solutions has built for excellence in the building trades.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces including cleaning, levelling and applying appropriate substrate materials to ensure optimal tile adhesion

• Measure, cut and fit tiles accurately using specialist tools and equipment, including wet saws and tile cutters

• Apply adhesive and grout to walls and floors in accordance with industry best practices and manufacturer specifications

• Install tiles in various patterns and designs, ensuring straight alignment and consistent spacing throughout

• Finish grouted surfaces to professional standards, including cleaning and sealing where required

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and all tiles are secure and properly finished

• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and site requirements

• Communicate effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors and clients to ensure project objectives are achieved

• Utilise hand and power tools safely and maintain equipment in good working order

What we're looking for

• Current qualifications and certification as a Wall and Floor Tiler or equivalent recognised training

• Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in wall and floor tiling across residential and/or commercial projects

• Strong technical knowledge of tiling techniques, adhesives, grouts and substrate preparation methods

• Proficiency with specialist tiling tools and equipment, including levels, spacers, wet saws and grout applicators

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to achieve precise measurements and consistent finishes

• Physical fitness and stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites within the local area

• Commitment to health and safety compliance and ability to work in accordance with site-specific requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different project requirements

• Preferred: Experience with natural stone tiling, large format tiles or specialist tiling applications
