About the role
About the role
We're looking for a passionate and people-focused Engagement Worker to join our team and play a vital role in supporting individuals to reconnect with their community, maintain stable housing, and build brighter futures.
This is a hands-on, outreach-based role where no two days are the same. You'll meet consumers where they are, in their homes, in the community, and alongside partner services, building meaningful relationships and providing the practical support needed to help them achieve their goals.
Working within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework, you'll empower consumers to develop confidence, strengthen life skills, overcome challenges, and create lasting positive change.
We are recruiting for 2x full-time permanent positions, Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing
Support consumers through outreach services, helping them build independence, maintain housing, and achieve their personal goals.
Deliver person-centred, strengths-based support that encourages recovery, wellbeing, community connection and participation.
Assist consumers to establish and sustain successful tenancies, including tenancy set-up, housing support and pathways to longer-term accommodation.
Collaborate with the Senior Engagement Worker, tenancy teams, service providers and community partners to coordinate support and advocate for positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to a culture of learning, growth and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
A qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Mental Health or a related field (or demonstrated equivalent experience).
Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other forms of vulnerability.
A genuine passion for supporting people to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.
Strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
The ability to work independently, show initiative and thrive in a community outreach environment.
A current C Class Driver's Licence, National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
