Kennedys is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our Australian HR team based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources. You will play a key role in supporting both our HR and Early Careers teams, providing administrative support across the employee lifecycle and helping to deliver a seamless experience for our people and candidates.
About The Team
The Kennedys Australian HR team is spread across our Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney offices and forms part of the wider Asia Pacific team, with colleagues based in Hong Kong and Singapore.
This role supports both our generalist HR and Early Careers functions. Our HR team partners closely with the business across areas including Business Partnering, Responsible Business, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, Reward, HR Operations and HR Systems. We also collaborate with specialist teams across APAC and the UK to deliver a high-quality people experience.
Our Recruitment and Early Careers team is responsible for end-to-end recruitment nationally, including the attraction and development of future legal talent through our graduate programs.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries, providing timely support and escalating issues where requiredDraft employment contracts and employee correspondence, including change of terms letters and graduate admission and settlement lettersCoordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including HRIS setup, compliance documentation and background checksPrepare and schedule new starter orientation sessionsManage training administration, including enrolment in learning systems and allocation of compliance and development modulesMaintain accurate employee records and process employee lifecycle changes within the HRISUpdate and maintain people movement tracking and HR recordsSupport graduate recruitment campaigns through candidate administration, interview coordination and offer preparationAssist with onboarding and administration for law graduates and Early Careers programsCoordinate graduate rotations, placements and orientation activitiesMaintain and update graduate program information on the intranetProvide recruitment administration support when requiredAdminister employee recognition initiatives, including GEM AwardsMaintain electronic employee files and HR documentationLiaise with Payroll regarding employee movements and payroll-related changesProcess HR invoices and liaise with Finance and external suppliersMonitor leave and absence recordsMaintain organisational charts and prepare HR reports as requiredProvide ad hoc administrative support across the Asia Pacific region
About You
We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You may be a recent graduate with a qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, looking to kick-start your HR career. Alternatively, you may already have experience in a similar administrative or coordination role and be seeking an opportunity to build a long-term career in the HR profession.
