HC DRIVER/ MC DRIVER

About the role

We are seeking experienced and reliable HC/MC Drivers to join our Rocklea team. This is a hands-on role that involves transporting scrap metal, servicing customer sites, and supporting the efficient operation of our recycling network across Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transport materials between company branches and customer sites

• Pick up and deliver scrap metal products efficiently while following company procedures and safety requirements

• Deliver, collect, and exchange bulk bins at customer sites

• Complete data entry and job updates within the company ERP system

• Load and unload vehicles in accordance with company standards and safe work practices

• Build positive relationships with customers and suppliers through professional communication

• Complete driver logbooks, vehicle inspections, and required reports accurately

• Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance issues

• Maintain vehicles to a high standard and ensure repairs and servicing requirements are addressed

• Assist with other operational duties as required

About you

• A valid HC or MC driver's licence

• Minimum 12 months' experience operating HC/MC vehicles

• A clean driving record and strong commitment to road safety

• Understanding of safe work practices and Chain of Responsibility requirements

• Experience completing pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections

• A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude

• Excellent reliability, punctuality, and sense of responsibility

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good physical fitness and willingness to work in a hands-on environment

• Previous experience in the metal recycling or waste industry will be highly regarded
