About the role

Coastal Transport Services' is seeking an experienced Heavy Rigid driver to join our team in the Bathurst. In this full-time position, you will safely operate a HIAB truck to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver a range of goods and materials to customers

• Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring on-time and damage-free deliveries

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain logbooks in accordance with regulations

• Safely operate a HIAB crane to load, unload and deliver goods to customer sites (training to be provided), manual hand unload may also be required.

• Adhere to all relevant road rules, company policies, and safety procedures

• Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the transport operations

• Reporting defects, accidents or violations

What we're looking for

• Current HR driver's licence with on-road experience

• HIAB experience desired but not essential, willingness to undertake training

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures

• Ability to meet delivery schedules and escalate late or missed deliveries

• Ability to pass fitness for duty/driving medical, mandatory drug & alcohol testing

• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR)

• White card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

• Applicants must be able to provide a current driving record issued by Service NSW.
