About Us

Castlereagh Coal is an Australian family owned and operated resources company. We operate out of Invincible Colliery, Cullen Bullen, approximately 20kms north of Lithgow, running a wide range of Caterpillar and Hitachi equipment.

We have employment opportunities for experienced Plant Mechanic roles in our expanding business.

Role Details:

·         Roster: 4-5-5 work schedule (day shift only), Or 7 on 7 off work schedule (day shift only)

·         Start Date: immediate

·         Wages: $70 per hour flat rate plus super on offer.

·         Overtime: Overtime required during peak periods or on an as needs basis.

·         Long service leave: Paid into LSL fund from day 1.

·         Superannuation: 12% of ordinary time earnings paid on payday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

·         Service, repair and maintain diesel-powered mobile plant and equipment

·         Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults

·         Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks

·         Complete repair documentation and communicate with site supervisors

Successful Applicants:

·         Diesel/Plant Mechanic or Fitter trade qualification (essential)

·         Proven experience working on heavy mobile equipment

·         Sound mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and diagnostic skills

·         Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)

·         Strong safety focus and ability to follow maintenance procedures

·         Ability to work independently and part of a team

·         Working a heights (advantageous but not essential)
