Senior Construction Underwriter

As a Senior Construction Underwriter you’ll be growing a profitable portfolio on our digital platform using your technical underwriting skills. 

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated high-energy person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in similar roles.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Construction Underwriting Manager you will be responsible for profitably growing our construction product through: 

Account Underwriting 

•  Underwriting more complex accounts, leveraging our system which automates all simple accounts and administration  
• Annual and Single Project, MD and Liability for SME and Mid-Market 
• Close analysis of risk and exposures on individual accounts 
• Liaise with brokers to position successful quotes  

Business Development

• Working with the Underwriting Manager and our BD team to grow and develop our substantial broker base  
• Cross sell against our extensive broker relationships in other products   
• Data-driven BD strategy, leveraging our digital marketing tools  
• Presenting our product and system to brokers 

Qualifications & Experience

You have 5 plus years’ experience in Construction Underwriting.

You’re outgoing, but like technical insurance work and numbers, and understand all the nerdy twists and turns of construction underwriting
