What your day could look like

As an Enrolled Nurse at The Oaks Residential Aged Care Facility, you'll play an important role in delivering person-centred care that supports residents' health, wellbeing and quality of life. Working closely with Registered Nurses and the broader care team, you'll help create a safe, respectful and supportive environment where residents feel valued, connected and empowered to maintain their independence wherever possible.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Delivering high-quality aged care that supports residents' physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
• Monitoring residents' health and functional needs, recognising changes early and contributing to timely care planning and interventions.
• Supporting care that aligns with contemporary aged care standards, promotes safety and enhances quality of life outcomes.
• Building trusted relationships with residents, families and colleagues while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.

You take pride in delivering person-centred care, supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life. Whether you're working alongside colleagues, supporting families or responding to changing care needs, you approach your work with integrity, courage and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for those in your care.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as an Enrolled Nurse without medication restrictions.
• Experience or demonstrated knowledge of aged care nursing, including person-centred care principles and resident wellbeing.
• Understanding of quality, safety and clinical care requirements within an aged care environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork and clinical assessment skills, with the ability to identify and escalate changes in resident condition.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience administering and monitoring intravenous medications and/or experience working in residential aged care or similar settings.
