The Opportunity

We have the opportunity for a Motor Vehicle Assessor to join our Victorian team. In this autonomous role, you'll assess damage across a range of light and heavy vehicles, determine repair and settlement outcomes, and work closely with repairers, suppliers and customers to deliver fair, timely and cost-effective claims resolutions.

Your new role

As a Motor Vehicle Assessor, you will:

Assess vehicle damage and determine best-practice repair and settlement outcomes in line with industry standards, legislation, MVIRI requirements and manufacturer repair methods. Manage claims costs through sound technical decision-making and negotiation. Build strong relationships with repairers, suppliers and customers through face-to-face, phone and digital interactions. Source and negotiate suitable replacement parts when required . Deliver exceptional customer experiences throughout the claims journey. Contribute to QBE's Claims strategy and broader business objectives .

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

A trade qualification in Panel Beating, Spray Painting or Motor Mechanics. Experience assessing and quoting accident-damaged vehicles across light, heavy and/or prestige vehicles. Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills. A customer-first mindset with a proven track record of delivering quality outcomes. A current driver's licence.
