Program Facilitator

What would I be doing?

As a Program Facilitator, you will facilitate Support in Centre (SIC) group based programs supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals through participation in meaningful learning, life skills and leisure activities at the centre and within the local community.

This could include:

• Assist the client/s to achieve a valued lifestyle similar to others within the community.
• Overseeing the daily coordination of programs, including care plans, documentation, and staffing requirements.
• Act as a key contact for clients and staff, providing guidance and support on operational matters.
• Empowering the client/s to develop their interests, skills, and talents while encouraging meaningful community participation.
• Developing and designing a diverse range of recreational, social and therapeutic programs tailored to the clients' interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Overseeing the execution of planned activities and events. Ensure that the activities are well-organised, safe, and inclusive, allowing all clients to engage to the best of their abilities.

What you’ll need

• Strong understanding of NDIS.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement and initiative.
• The ability to effectively monitor, support and supervise staff.
• Demonstrated skills in the development and implementation of flexible, innovative centre-based day programs.
• Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience working with and supporting people with disability.
• A passion for people and a focus on great customer service.
• A commitment to working together to deliver great outcomes.
• Great listening and respectful communication skills.
• Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check (we can help).
