Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Doyalson Wyee RSL Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Beverage Supervisor to join our hospitality team on a full-time basis. Located in Doyalson NSW, this is an excellent opportunity to lead and manage our beverage operations whilst delivering outstanding service to our valued members and guests. Reporting to the Group Beverage Manager, as Beverage Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bars, maintaining the highest standards of customer service, and supervising our bar and beverage staff. This position is integral to creating memorable experiences for our patrons and upholding the reputation of Doyalson Wyee RSL Club.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate bar and beverage staff, ensuring excellent performance and adherence to company policies and procedures

• Manage day-to-day beverage operations across all bar areas, including resource management, inventory control and customer relations

• Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing laws, responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements and club regulations

• Monitor and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas

• Train, mentor and develop bar staff to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and beverage preparation

• Handle customer complaints and issues professionally and promptly, ensuring member satisfaction

• Manage cash handling and reconciliation of bar transactions

• In conjunction with the Beverage Manager, monitor beverage costs and implement strategies to optimise profitability whilst maintaining quality

• Maintain and oversee the condition of bar equipment and promptly report maintenance issues

• Prepare accurate records and reports on beverage sales, stock levels and staffing matters

• Create cocktail lists and provide feedback to Upper Management on trending beverage products, to ensure offerings are in line with customer expectations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a bar or beverage supervisory role within a hospitality venue or RSL club environment

• Strong knowledge of beverages, including spirits, wines, beers and cocktails, with the ability to make recommendations

• Strong knowledge of bar operations, including but not limited to; rostering efficiencies, waste management, gross profit drivers, beverage promotion implementation and POS accuracy

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certification and Liquor & Gaming NSW compliance knowledge

• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively

• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer literacy

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
