Venue Manager / Front of House Manager – Third Wave BBQ, Albert Park

Run the flagship. Third Wave BBQ Albert Park is our busiest venue — packed weekends and a loyal crowd who cross town for proper slow-smoked American BBQ. We're looking for a Venue Manager who leads from the floor, not the office.

About Us:

Third Wave BBQ is a growing hospitality group with six venues, a Gold Coast store about to open, and more locations on the way that we can't announce just yet. We're known for bold American BBQ, big flavours, and the kind of service people talk about afterwards.

The Role:

This is a floor-led job. You'll run service, coach your team in real time, and hold the standard on the quiet Tuesday as well as the big Saturday — with admin fitted around service, not instead of it.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day FOH operations with energy and consistency

• Hire, train and develop the FOH team; manage rosters and staffing levels

• Own the FOH numbers: sales, labour, speed of service, wastage

• Manage bookings, functions, guest feedback and recovery professionally

• Keep RSA, liquor licensing, and health and safety compliance tight

• Work closely with the kitchen and management team so the whole venue runs as one

• Contribute to promotions and initiatives that build repeat business

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years managing a high-volume hospitality venue (Venue, Restaurant or FOH Manager)

• Calm under pressure, a straight-up communicator, high standards without the ego

• Confident with POS, bookings and rostering systems (TapTouch or OpenTable experience a bonus)

• Availability across evenings and weekends

What We Offer:

• Full-time permanent role with consecutive days off

• $90,000–$110,000 + super, depending on experience. We pay more because we want the best.
