Northern Gold Coast | Monday to Friday | Onsite

This is a hands-on People & Culture role for someone who understands that good HR needs to work for the business, not just follow a process.

Youll work closely with the leadership team and managers across the operation, building engagement, strengthening culture and helping leaders take ownership of their people.

An Established Queensland BusinessOur client is a well-established Queensland business with a strong history of its own and the backing of a larger Australian group.

Its a practical, operational environment with many of the qualities youd expect from a long-standing family business. Theyre looking for someone who can help strengthen that culture as the business continues to evolve, without adding unnecessary corporate layers.

What Youll Be Doing

Build strong working relationships with managers and operational leadersCoach managers through performance, employee relations and day-to-day people mattersImprove engagement and connection across the businessManage recruitment and find practical solutions in difficult candidate marketsSupport workforce planning, onboarding and retentionProvide practical IR and compliance guidanceIdentify people issues early and recommend workable solutionsBring new ideas and external market knowledge into the businessImprove processes without adding unnecessary complexity

What Were Looking ForYoull have solid People & Culture/HR experience, but just as importantly, youll understand business.

Were looking for someone who can look beyond the HR process, understand what an operational manager is trying to achieve and come back with practical options and solutions.

Experience in manufacturing or another operational environment would be advantageous, particularly if youve worked closely with frontline leaders.

Qualifications

Strong generalist HR/P&C experience, ideally degree qualifiedCoaching and mentoring managersLeadership knowledge and experience partnering with leadersOrganisation and planningCommercial acumenProblem-solvingExperience introducing improvements or new ways of workingManufacturing experience is advantageous, not mandatory
