MYER is seeking a commercially minded and strategically driven Senior Category Buyer - Beauty to lead the success of a portfolio of premium beauty brands. Reporting to the General Manager – Beauty, you will be responsible for curating a compelling brand portfolio, identifying emerging trends, delivering commercial performance, and leading a high-performing team.

About the Role:

• Support the development and execution of the Beauty category strategy, delivering sustainable sales growth, profitability, innovation, and market share across all channels.
• Manage the commercial performance of the brand portfolio through financial planning, forecasting, P&L management, trading analysis, and identification of growth opportunities.
• Curate a customer-led portfolio of established, emerging, and exclusive beauty brands, leveraging market trends, consumer insights, and competitor analysis.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and global brand partners, leading negotiations to secure optimal commercial outcomes, exclusive launches, and growth opportunities.
• Partner closely with Planning teams to develop assortment strategies, optimise inventory performance, and deliver sales, profit, and stock objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and commercially driven culture.

About you:

• Proven experience in Buying, Category Management, Brand Management, ideally within Beauty, Retail, FMCG, Luxury, or a related category.
• Proven success managing category performance, budgets, forecasting, trading plans, profitability, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience building and managing successful supplier and brand partnerships, with advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of customer behaviour, market trends, and competitive landscapes, with the ability to identify and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
• A collaborative and influential leader who inspires others and leads by example.
• Passionate about the beauty industry, with a customer-first mindset and a proactive, innovative approach to driving category growth.
