About the Role

As a Travel Surgical Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality perioperative and post-operative nursing care across metropolitan, regional, and rural NSW hospitals. You’ll support patients throughout the surgical journey, manage post-op recovery, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams in surgical and mixed medical‑surgical wards.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
• Monitor and manage post-surgical patients, including pain management
• Perform wound care, drains, and post-operative assessments
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Recognise and escalate deteriorating patients using clinical pathways
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health policies

What you’ll need

• Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse – Division 1)
• Minimum 1 year recent Surgical or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Strong post‑operative assessment and clinical decision‑making skills
• Current working rights in Australia (urgent, non‑sponsorship role)
