Group 10 - Commercial Consultant

We are seeking experienced Commercial Consultants to support Commonwealth clients delivering complex ICT procurement, sourcing and contract management outcomes across software, hardware, cloud and professional services environments.

This is a hands-on consulting role suited to someone who can independently manage procurement activities, engage directly with vendors and stakeholders, and deliver compliant procurement outcomes within fast-paced government environments.
We're looking for practical ICT procurement professionals who understand the operational side of government procurement and vendor management — not just procurement policy.

What you'll be doing

• Managing end-to-end ICT procurement activities including RFQs, RFTs and panel sourcing engagements
• Developing procurement documentation including evaluation criteria, RFx documentation, approval briefs and contract documentation
• Working directly with ICT vendors on pricing, commercial terms and procurement activities
• Reviewing software licensing terms, EULAs and vendor proposals
• Managing vendor and contract relationships post-award
• Supporting commercial risk management and procurement governance activities
• Advising stakeholders on procurement processes and sourcing approaches
• Working closely with technical teams, asset management teams and client stakeholders to deliver procurement outcomes

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience delivering ICT procurement or contract management activities within government or enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), PGPA requirements and procurement governance
• Experience preparing and managing procurement documentation and approvals
• Experience engaging directly with ICT vendors and managing commercial discussions
• Exposure to software licensing, cloud procurement or ICT sourcing activities
• Ability to operate independently in client-facing consulting environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Nice to have

• Defence or Federal Government experience
• Contract management experience
• Exposure to ITAM, software licensing or vendor governance
• Current Baseline, NV1 or NV2 clearance

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
This role requires Australian Citizenship and the ideally a Federal Government Security Clearance. Preference may be given to applicants with an active clearance.
