Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Field Service Technician

 About the role

JRB DIESEL is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Field Service Technician to join our team in Ingleburn , NSW. As a full-time Heavy Vehicle/Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our customers heavy vehicles, trailers, buses & specialized equipment + being on a roster for On-Call 24/7 Breakdown repairs

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of heavy vehicles including trucks, trailers and specialized equipment

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues

• Conduct inspections and prepare detailed reports on the condition of vehicles

• Maintain accurate records of all work performed

• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment

• Being on a roster for 24/7 on-call breakdown repairs

• Workshop and Field service role available

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualification in Heavy vehicles or equivalent

• Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in a Dealership or Fleet environment

• HR or HC license advantageous

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify & resolve complex issues

• Excellent knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, including engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical and pneumatic systems.

• Strong communication skills, able to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Commitment to continuous learning and a passion for keeping up with industry advancements
