Electrical Controls Technician – PLC & Control Panel Wiring

We are looking for a practical and detail-oriented Electrical Controls Technician to assist with the wiring, assembly and connection of control cabinets for automated and robotic systems.

The role involves working with low-voltage control systems, PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors and related electrical components. You will also assist with on-site connections, testing and basic fault finding.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of PLC programming
• Good understanding of electrical wiring and connections
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
• Familiarity with low-voltage control circuits, sensors, relays, contactors and PLC I/O
• Strong attention to detail and ability to check your own work
• Ability to work independently after receiving instructions and guidelines
• Basic practical experience with wiring, electronics, robotics or automation

Formal industry experience is not essential. Experience gained through university projects, personal projects, robotics, Arduino, PLC or other electronics projects will also be considered.

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
