NDIS Team Leader - SIL

Team Leader for a high behavioural support home is needed in the Tweed Heads area

About the role

Soteria is seeking an experienced NDIS Team Leader - SIL to join our dynamic team in the Tweed Heads area. As a full-time team leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the provision of high-quality disability support services to our clients. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our NDIS operations run seamlessly and our clients receive the care and assistance they need.

What you'll be doing

• Providing effective leadership, supervision, and support to a team of support workers delivering NDIS-funded Supported Independent Living (SIL) services

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring support plans to meet the individual needs of NDIS participants

• Ensuring all NDIS documentation and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time

• Fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting professional development, and providing mentoring support to workers

• Liaising with NDIS participants, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery

• Monitoring and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of SIL services, identifying areas for improvement

• Assisting with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new support workers

What we're looking for

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar NDIS team leader or supervisory role within the disability support sector

• You will need to be experienced in managing clients with complex behaviours

• Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, eligibility criteria, and funding models

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of support workers

• Proficient in creating and implementing person-centred support plans

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound, ethical decisions

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in disability, community services, or a related field

• Current First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid driver's licence
