Service Manager - Rocklabs, Perth, WA

We're looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Australian service operations from Perth. About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager - Rocklabs, you'll be responsible for the overall performance and profitability of our Australian service business.

You'll lead a skilled team of Service Engineers, Embedded Engineers, Systems Support, Service Coordination and Workshop personnel, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes while driving service growth across Australia.

This is more than an operational leadership role; it has a strong commercial focus. You'll work closely with customers to identify new opportunities, develop service solutions, and grow recurring service revenue while maintaining the high standards Rocklabs is known for.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and developing a high-performing national service team
• Leading and developing the Rocklabs 5 Year Service Strategy
• Driving service revenue growth and identifying new business opportunities
• Building long-term relationships with customers across the mining and industrial sectors
• Managing service operations to deliver outstanding customer experiences
• Overseeing budgets, financial performance and commercial outcomes
• Ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation and inventory management
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and service delivery
• Championing a strong culture of health, safety and wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with sales and engineering teams to deliver complete customer solutions

About You

You're an experienced service leader who combines strong commercial thinking with excellent people leadership.

You'll ideally bring:

• Proven experience managing service operations within mining, industrial equipment, manufacturing or a related technical industry
• Demonstrated success leading and developing technical service teams
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting and revenue management
• A track record of growing service revenue through customer engagement and business development
• Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to balance operational priorities with strategic business objectives
• Experience with ERP systems and service management processes
• Technical knowledge of mining sample preparation equipment or similar industrial equipment will be highly regarded
• A willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required
