Front End Loader/Forklift Operator 

Location: Gibson Island
Shifts: Set day shift (5.00am to 1.00pm Monday to Friday) or afternoon shift (1.00pm to 9.00pm)
Overtime: Available outside of shift and on weekends as required

Casual position with potential to become permanent

Join one of Australia’s leading recycling operations and take on a key role in keeping our Gibson Island facility running safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

Due to continued growth we are seeking reliable and safety-focused Heavy Machinery Operators to support our daily operations - ou will need the relevant tickets and experience to operate a Front End Loader AND forklift as required on shift. You’ll play an essential part in sorting and processing recyclable materials such as glass, paper, steel, and aluminium — helping ensure valuable resources are recovered and kept out of landfill.

We have vacancies on day and afternoon shift to suit your lifestyle needs.

What You’ll Do

• Operate Front End Loaders safely on site
• Operate Forklifts safely on site
• Sort recyclable materials on conveyors and in designated processing areas
• Identify and remove contaminants to maintain product quality
• Follow all safety, housekeeping and production procedures
• Assist with general labouring and yard duties when required
• Work closely with the team to achieve daily targets 
• Learn about safe operation of machines and develop valuable skills for a production environment

About You

• A reliable and keen team player with a can-do attitude
• Current front end loader and forklift licences along with demonstrated experience in both
• Willing to learn and complete physical tasks when required
• Safety-conscious and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial setting
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills – able to talk with colleagues, supervisors etc. as required
• Previous waste/recycling experience highly regarded but not essential
