Location: Crackerjack Beachfront – Seaford, VIC

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Chef to join our busy kitchen team.

This is a casual position with the opportunity for regular hours in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Weekend availability is essential.

Working alongside our experienced kitchen team, you’ll assist with the preparation and service of quality meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking during service
• Working confidently across the grill, pans and fryers
• Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
• Following food safety and HACCP procedures
• Supporting the Head Chef and wider kitchen team during busy service periods

Skill & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Experience working with pans and fryers in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• The ability to work well within a team
• Availability to work weekends is essential
