About the role

We are seeking experienced Chefs/Cooks to join our team at THE QUARTERS in Esperance, WA. This is a casual position offering up to full time hours between September 2025 to April 2026. The Quarters is Esperance's number 1 location for fine dining, producing some of the best dishes in Australia at our fine restaurant. Applicants must be available as of September.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards

• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations

• Managing food stocks and assisting with inventory control

• Collaborating with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during peak times

• Following food presentation standards and plating requirements

• Responding to customer feedback and making adjustments to dishes as needed

• Assisting with menu preparation and food costing where required

• Maintaining personal hygiene and wearing appropriate kitchen uniforms

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hospitality or food service environment

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy service periods

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards

• Flexibility and adaptability to casual work arrangements and varying shifts

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Current or willingness to obtain a Food Handling Certificate or equivalent food safety qualification

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (advantageous)
