Cook/Chef – Casual Position

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and takes pride in producing high quality meals.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to a consistent standard following recipe
• Assist with daily food preparation and stock rotation
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, and current food trends
• Provide input into new dishes
• Store and label food correctly according to hygiene and safety standards and to control and minimise waste and loss
• Check the presentation of menu items before serving Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during peak service times
• About You
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
• AQF Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management
• Strong understanding of food safety standards
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality
• Availability for weekend and evening shifts
