Accounts Officer

This role sits across three diverse and complementary businesses - WA Utilities, WA Drilling and Yidarra Group, operating across civil construction, utilities, trenchless/HDD and local government contracts and project specific works.

You’ll work closely with the Company Accountant and operational teams, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy and likes being part of a busy, supportive team.

• Manage the accounts inbox and respond to supplier and internal queries.

• Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly, matching to purchase orders where applicable.

• Follow up invoice approvals with managers and supervisors.

• Prepare the weekly payment run for review by the Company Accountant.

• Reconcile supplier statements, credit cards and fuel cards, and follow up outstanding receipts.

• Set up new suppliers for approval, including verification of ABN, GST status and bank details.

• Assist with customer invoicing and collating documentation for progress claims.

• Assist with payroll processing.

• Maintain accurate finance filing and records.

• Support month-end processing and provide administrative support to the Company Accountant.

• Perform other finance administration duties as reasonably required.

• Previous accounts payable or finance administration experience.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Sound Excel and general computer skills.

• Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Confident communicator who is comfortable following up approvals and information.

• Experience in a construction, civil, utilities or trades business would be an advantage.
