As Chef de Cuisine, you will lead our bustling kitchen operations in our Conventions Department overseeing culinary operations for banquets and events, staff canteen and the pastry section.

What will you do?

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, with responsibility across conventions, staff canteen and the pastry sectionDevelop innovative menu concepts that align with current food trends and guest preferencesProvide strong leadership, mentorship and hands-on training to foster a high-performing, motivated teamSet and uphold exceptional food standards through efficient systems and processesAssist in managing department budgets, food costs, utilising IT systems to drive efficiency and profitabilityManage performance and labour costs for permanent and casual kitchen staffChampion on-site food safety and HACCP accreditation

More About You

Proven experience managing large-scale kitchen operationsExperience across either high end restaurants including functions/eventsA strong track record of leading and inspiring diverse culinary teamsExpertise in menu development, stock management, and cost controlStrong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering business outcomesRelevant culinary qualificationsProficiency in business technology, including stock control systems, spreadsheets, and accounting softwareExcellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage at all levels

Remuneration on offer $110K + superannuation.
