Business Development Manager (BDM)– Real Estate

About the role

Biggin & Scott North is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to help grow the rental portfolio and strengthen presence across Melbourne's northern suburbs. This role is ideal for a confident real estate professional who understands both property management and residential sales, enjoys building relationships and has a proven ability to convert opportunities into new business. The primary focus will be generating new property management business, onboarding rental properties and developing long-term relationships with landlords, investors, developers and local referral partners.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively grow the agency's residential rental portfolio

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities

• Conduct rental appraisals and prepare management proposals

• Convert investor, landlord and developer enquiries into new managements

• Build strong relationships with landlords, property investors and referral partners

• Develop relationships with local businesses, conveyancers, mortgage brokers, builders and developers

• Follow up appraisal leads, sales investor leads and prospective landlords

• Work closely with the sales and property management teams to identify cross-referral opportunities

• Assist landlords through the onboarding and property management transfer process

• Manage the BDM pipeline and keep accurate CRM records

About you

• A minimum of three years' experience in the real estate industry

• Sound knowledge of both property management and residential sales

• Previous experience in business development, leasing, property management or sales

• A strong understanding of the Victorian residential rental market and relevant legislation

• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• A confident and professional approach to prospecting and client relationship management

• The ability to generate leads and convert enquiries into new business

• Strong organisational and follow-up skills

• A self-motivated, accountable and results-focused attitude

• A current Victorian Agent's Representative Certificate or relevant real estate qualification
