Field Service Technician to join their team and contribute to their continued growth and success.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for installing new systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, servicing equipment and performing routine scheduled maintenance.
This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys fault finding and genuinely cares about delivering a great experience for every customer.
Key responsibilities will include: - Performing routine maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on client equipment across multiple locations throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.
- Responding promptly to service calls and troubleshooting technical issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintaining detailed records of service work completed, parts used and time spent on each job.
- Reading and interpreting schematics to assess, plan and support future installations.
- Communicating clearly with clients regarding issues identified, solutions provided and preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company procedures while working on client sites.
- Collaborating with the support team to escalate complex issues and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Maintaining the service vehicle and equipment in good working order and ensuring all tools are properly maintained.
About You:
We’re looking for a skilled, motivated and people-focused technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys finding solutions for customers.
Ideally, you will have:
- A trade qualification as a Plumber, Fitter, Electrician or HVAC Technician, or at least 3 years’ field service experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical customers.
- The ability to listen to a customer’s description of a problem and work through the issue to identify an effective solution.
- Confidence working independently while also being a supportive team player.
- Strong time-management and organisational skills, with the discipline to plan and manage your day efficiently.
- The ability to remain patient and professional when service calls run longer than expected, without compromising the quality of your work.
- The ability to complete service reports and job documentation digitally.
- The ability to read and interpret schematics, work plans and technical information.
- A clean driver’s licence and good driving record.
- A professional, well-groomed and respectful manner when dealing with customers.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to pick up new skills quickly.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness to safely access and work around various installations.
