HSEQ Coordinator

Our client is an established and reputable name in Queensland commercial construction. A family-owned business now in its third generation, delivering projects across food and beverage, government, education, health & aged care and industrial for over 80 years.

About the role
This is a systems-focused HSEQ role, not a hands-on site-based HSEQ Manager position. Our client has built a culture where Project Managers and Site Managers own safety on the ground. You'll provide the oversight, auditing, and governance behind them.

What you'll be doing:

• Auditing projects and systems against ISO 9001 and other accredited standards
• Reviewing SWMS, risk assessments and project safety documentation
• Coordinating annual third-party accreditation audits (BSI)
• Leading incident investigations when required
• Preparing HSEQ reporting for management review meetings
• Assisting with implementation of the Federal Safety Accreditation system, working directly with a company founder

About you:

• Strong background in systems, processes and auditing (QA/QC highly regarded)
• Relevant safety qualifications and auditing competency
• Solid working knowledge of WHS regulations and codes of practice
• Strong administrative and reporting skills
• Construction background not essential, civil, mining, oil & gas or manufacturing backgrounds also considered
