Sales Associate

About the role

This is a hands-on retail role for someone who takes pride in exceptional customer service, sales and maintaining a beautifully presented store. As a trusted key holder, you will be given responsibility for opening the boutique and supporting its day-to-day operation at Stop Staring Boutique, a well-established designer consignment boutique in South Yarra, specialising in curated pre-loved luxury fashion including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior and Prada.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional, personalised customer service to clientele

• Building relationships with customers and consignors

• Driving sales and helping customers discover and style pieces from the collection

• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the boutique

• Undertaking store opening procedures as an authorised key holder, including security and alarm procedures

• Assisting with the intake, preparation and presentation of designer consignment items

• Supporting stock control, inventory management and comparative pricing research

• Merchandising and maintaining a premium in-store presentation

• Processing sales accurately and following store procedures

• Supporting loss prevention and the security of high-value merchandise

About you

• Minimum 2–3 years' fashion retail experience

• Senior sales or luxury retail experience highly regarded

• A genuine interest in designer and luxury fashion

• Strong sales and customer service capability

• Confidence working independently and taking responsibility for the store when required

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and consignors

• Strong attention to detail, particularly when processing sales and handling high-value merchandise

• Reliable, organised, proactive and trustworthy

• Willingness to take ownership of maintaining store presentation and standards
