Program Worker Resilient Homes Connect

Social Futures is a leading community service organisation and registered community housing provider with 50 years’ experience creating positive social change. We work with communities, organisations and government to build inclusive communities where everyone is valued and supported.

We are seeking a Program Worker to join our Program Support Service to help make a positive social change, together.

Location: Based in Lismore or Ballina with travel throughout the Northern Rivers

What you'll be doing

• Directly supporting homeowners, particularly those with complex needs, to navigate the Resilient Homes Program (RHP)
• Providing trauma informed case management, guidance and coordination services.
• Collaborate across a variety of community-based organizations to ensure the best possible outcomes for community members
• Gain valuable experience working with people at a vulnerable time in their lives
• Receive support through reflective practice, internal and group supervisions.
• Broaden your skill set through diverse and meaningful work

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion, community engagement, or similar
• Experience and understanding of the Resilient Homes Program, or similar with the ability to provide expert guidance and navigation of the program.
• Experience providing high-quality, compassionate, customer-centred support, increasing capacity through effective case management.
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with all people to ensure effective relationships
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining professional boundaries while engaging in person-centred work
