Production Supervisor - Afternoon Shift

When the Production Manager clocks off, you clock in as the person in charge. This isn't a "keep the lights on" role - it's real ownership of output, quality, safety and people, with the autonomy to make the decisions that matter and the judgement to know when to pick up the phone.

If you've got a few years of manufacturing leadership under your belt and you're ready to run a shift like it's your own operation, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Owning the afternoon shift - production, quality, safety and on-time delivery are on you, start to finish.

• Leading from the front - briefing the team, assigning work, holding the standard, and sorting out problems on the spot instead of waiting for tomorrow.

• Being the safety net - first point of call for any incident, with the confidence to act fast and brief the Production Manager clearly when it counts.

• Closing the loop - taking a solid handover from day shift and leaving a clear, honest one for the morning crew.

• Driving improvement - spotting root causes, backing your team's ideas, and making Lean thinking part of how the shift runs, not just a poster on the wall.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years in a manufacturing environment, with genuine supervisory or team leadership experience.

• Experience as the senior person on-site out of hours

• A track record of hitting production targets through people, not just process.

• Sharp, independent decision-making - you know what you can fix yourself and what needs to go up the chain.

• Strong, direct communication, including reporting clearly to management on what happened after hours.

• A real commitment to health and safety, including experience responding when things go wrong.

Nice to have: a Cert III+ in Engineering or Manufacturing, Lean/Six Sigma exposure, First Aid or safety certifications.
