Radiology Experienced Receptionist

About the role

Oasis Radiology is seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiology Receptionist to join our team on a full-time or Part-time basis at our new clinic in Brisbane, Redbank Plains, QLD location. This is a vital front-of-house position that serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. As a Radiology Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and supporting our clinical team to deliver exceptional healthcare services. This role is essential to maintaining patient satisfaction and the efficient functioning of our medical imaging facility.

Key responsibilities

1. Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and compassionate manner upon arrival at the facility

2. Managing patient check-in procedures, including verifying personal details, insurance information and referral documentation

3. Scheduling and coordinating imaging appointments, ensuring optimal utilisation of equipment and staff time

4. Answering telephone enquiries and responding to patient requests in a timely and courteous manner

5. Maintaining accurate and organised patient records and administrative files in accordance with privacy legislation

6. Processing patient payments and managing billing enquiries

7. Assisting patients with completion of necessary forms and providing clear information about imaging procedures

8. Liaising between patients, referring doctors, and clinical staff to ensure seamless communication

9. Managing appointment reminders and follow-up communications with patients

10. Performing general administrative duties including data entry, filing and photocopying

11. Supporting the clinical team with facility operations as required

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working in a medical reception or healthcare setting, preferably in a diagnostic imaging or radiology environment

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, doctors and colleagues from diverse backgrounds

3. Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

4. Proficiency in medical reception software systems and general IT applications including Microsoft Office

5. Comprehensive knowledge of patient confidentiality, privacy legislation and healthcare compliance requirements

6. A genuine commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive patient experience

7. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data management

8. Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy healthcare environment

9. Current knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology and imaging procedures
