Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation (UAC) is a not-for-profit, 100% Aboriginal-owned community organisation based in Singleton, NSW.
We work alongside Aboriginal communities across the Upper Hunter and Regional NSW to improve access to health, education, training, employment, economic participation and business development. Our vision is to create opportunities and achieve outcomes that support stronger, healthier communities.
Ungooroo are looking for an organised, friendly and proactive Administration Officer to join our Barranggirra team on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week, 2 of the days must be a Monday & Tuesday to fit with the needs of the team). We offer flexibility around days and hours, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to balance work with other commitments.
This is an Aboriginal Identified Position in accordance with Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
As an Administration Officer within the Barranggirra Team, you will work alongside the Barranggirra Program Coordinator & Mentors to support in;
General administration and office support
Data entry and maintaining accurate records
Preparing correspondence and work documents
Managing emails, filing and document management
Assisting with meeting and event bookings and room set-ups
Providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors and staff
We're looking for someone who:
Is friendly, approachable and enjoys helping others
Demonstrates honesty, reliability and professionalism
Works well independently and as part of a team
Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Has accurate data entry and administration skills
Uses initiative and enjoys seeing tasks through to completion
Maintains confidentiality and respects client privacy
Has strong written and verbal communication skills
Is passionate about working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation
Holds a current Driver Licence (desirable)
Is willing to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
