Salary: $79,000–$85,000 + Superannuation

Owned and operated by Pavoni Plus Pty Ltd, the team behind the acclaimed a'Mare at Crown Sydney, Cibaria Manly has established itself as one of the Northern Beaches' premier dining destinations. Located within the Manly Pacific precinct, Cibaria is a vibrant multi-level Italian venue featuring multiple kitchens and culinary concepts, private dining spaces, an all-day Caffetteria, and 55 North Bar.

Led by celebrated chef Alessandro Pavoni, our team is passionate about exceptional produce, traditional Italian techniques, and genuine hospitality. As we continue to grow, we are looking for talented chefs who share our commitment to excellence.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

• Chef de Partie

• Pastry Chef

• Pizza Chef

• Sous Chef

Note that we will start under casual contracts and offer full time for the right candidate.

Essential Requirements

• Full Australian working rights

• Relevant trade qualification and/or a minimum of 1–3 years' commercial kitchen experience (depending on the role)

• Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent qualifications

• Previous experience preparing Italian cuisine

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food quality and cost control

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• High standards of food presentation, hygiene and professionalism

• Food Handler Basics Training

• All about allergens training

Preferred Requirements

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

• First Aid Certificate

• Experience producing fresh pasta

• Woodfired pizza experience (Pizza Chef positions)

• Pastry production experience (Pastry Chef positions)

• Leadership experience including rostering, ordering and team development (Sous Chef and Head Chef positions)

• Italian language skills (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present consistently high-quality dishes

• Lead and manage your section with efficiency and attention to detail

• Support the training and development of junior kitchen team members

• Maintain exceptional food safety, cleanliness and HACCP standards

• Assist with ordering, stock control and waste minimisation

• Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials where appropriate

• Support labour, food cost and kitchen performance targets

• Foster a positive, collaborative and professional kitchen culture
