Shellharbour Private Hospital is a 52-bed facility, delivering specialised surgical, medical and rehabilitative care to the Illawarra and South Coast.
 

The hospital has an excellent reputation in providing high-quality patient-centred care to the local community and we’re looking for Registered and Enrolled Nurses who will be dedicated to maintaining an exceptional level of care. The Role 

Due to ongoing growth, we have a number of FT, PT and Casual opportunities for highly motivated and experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to work across rehab, medical and surgical wards.  

• Provide safe and effective patient-centred nursing care to the patients/clients of Shellharbour Private Hospital

• Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary health team

• Ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice

• Effectively manage resources relevant to the service

• Act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures

Skills and Experience

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)

• Current surgical nursing experience within an acute hospital setting desirable

• Demonstrated effective typed, written, & verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to organise & prioritise workloads, as well as problem solve situations

• A commitment to working in a close-knit team environment

• National Criminal Record Check

• Working with Children Check
