The Armadale Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Hub is an innovative, integrated service delivered in partnership with Yorgum Healing Services and a range of specialist organisations. Together, we provide coordinated, culturally responsive and multidisciplinary support to individuals and families impacted by family and domestic violence.

Joining the FDV Hub means becoming part of a collaborative team of specialists dedicated to improving outcomes for victim survivors, families and communities across the Armadale region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate FDV Educator to join the Koolark Healing Service team within the Armadale FDV Hub.

In this role, you will provide culturally safe intervention, support and educational services to adults and young people aged 14 years and over who use, or are at risk of using, family and domestic violence. Through case management, psychoeducation, group work and collaborative risk management, you will support participants to increase accountability, develop healthier relationship behaviours and reduce the use of violence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, assessment and risk management processes for new referrals.
• Provide case management support focused on behaviour change and accountability.
• Facilitate individual and group-based educational interventions.
• Support clients to develop goals related to emotional regulation, respectful relationships and non-violent behaviours.
• Maintain a non-collusive, victim survivor-centred approach in all interventions.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate risk management and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate case notes, client records and reporting requirements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, supervision and professional development activities.
• Represent the service through networking, community engagement and stakeholder collaboration opportunities.

You'll Need  

Essential

• Degree or Diploma in Social Services, Youth Work or a related discipline (desirable), and/or significant relevant experience.
• Minimum two years' experience working within the family and domestic violence, community services or related sector.
• Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics, drivers and impacts of family and domestic violence, including coercive control.
• Ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal people, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and other priority populations.
• Demonstrated case management experience, including risk assessment, documentation and service coordination.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to reflective practice, professional boundaries and ongoing learning.

Highly Desirable

• Experience working with young people.
• Experience facilitating groups, educational programs or behaviour change interventions.
• Knowledge of Safe & Together, perpetrator intervention frameworks and the WA Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework (CRARMF).
• Understanding of relevant legislation, practice standards and statewide FDV strategies.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Current C or A Class Driver's Licence.
• Current National Police Clearance (within three months).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
