Senior Accountant

Due to continued business growth and the upcoming retirement of a highly valued team member who has been with our firm for over 25 years, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our established and supportive team.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting, taxation, and business advisory services while building strong client relationships and contributing to the ongoing success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business and individual clients.

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns.

• Provide taxation, compliance, and business advisory services.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Assist clients with tax planning and business improvement strategies.

• Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required.

• Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and internal processes.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience managing your own client portfolio in a private practice accounting environment.

• Relevant accounting qualification (Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce, or similar).

• CA or CPA qualified or working towards qualification.

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.

• Strong knowledge of Superannuation Funds, nice but not necessary.

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
