Job Title: Venue Assistant – Summer Football

Job Summary:

We are seeking up to 3 energetic and vibrant Venue Assistants / Customer Service Officers to join our team for the Summer Football Competitions held at Jamison Park in Penrith. As a Venue Assistant, you will be responsible for field set up and pack down, assisting participants and spectators with general inquiries, providing crowd supervision, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. This is a part-time position requiring availability for at least 3 of the 5 nights per week that we operate. This position is a CHILD RELATED POSITION and a paid working with children check is required for candidates aged 18 and over.

– You must be physically fit as the role does involve some heavy lifting. You’ll also be on your feet for most of your shift.

– Flexibility in working hours

– An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principals

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and pack down playing fields before, throughout and after each competition day.

2. Provide assistance to participants and spectators by answering general inquiries.

3. Ensure the safety of participants by supervising crowds during matches.

4. Assist with the coordination of match schedules, including organizing teams’ arrival times.

5. Maintain cleanliness of the venue facilities throughout competitions.

6. Collaborate with other venue staff members to ensure smooth operations.

7. Ensure match sheets are completed and player identification is completed.

Qualifications:

– Entry Level position so no previous experience is required, however, you’ll need to be a quick learner and can’t be shy.

– Previous experience in a customer service role would be a bonus but is not essential.

Pay Rates:

Wages are paid fortnightly under the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award [MA000080], Casual Not Exhibition Employees Grade 2, dependent upon age and experience.
