Night Auditor

At the Canberra Rex Hotel our guests are extremely important to us, and we pride ourselves on providing quality personalised service that creates a lasting impression.

We are seeking a like-minded individual to join our team in a casual or part-time capacity with an immediate start in the role of Night Auditor. 

In this role you will be responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel, helping ensure that all our guests arrive, stay, and leave feeling welcomed, valued, and delighted with our service. 

Your main duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: 

• You will be responsible for accurately auditing and balancing our Hotel's accounts at night

• You'll also prepare daily revenue reports for our Hotel management team

• Night management of hotel operations in the absence of department HODs

• Ensuring guest feedback is recorded accurately per operational standards and any matters requiring action are resolved in a prompt and efficient manner

• Ensuring guest security and privacy are maintained at all times

• Being part of and taking the lead when required in Hotel emergency procedures, together with assisting in ensuring the Hotel complies with local government regulations concerning safety, and any other regulatory requirements

• Furthermore, you will be responsible for all aspects of Hotel reception including check-in/out, customer relations and taking reservations

The successful candidates must possess:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• The ability to work professionally under pressure and multi-task

• The passion for providing every guest with a positive experience

• Pride in personal appearance and presentation

• You must be able to work a flexible 7-day roster

• Experience in a hotel environment working in Front Office services is desirable

• Knowledge of Hotel PMS system
