About the role
The Role - Service and Warranty Technical Manager
Our Service and Warranty Technical Manager will be responsible for supporting our Service & Warranty Officers from Sunshine Coast to Hervey Bay by overseeing and providing direction on varied maintenance and construction works, with the key responsibilities being:Manage and mentor Service & Warranty Officers.Investigate warranty issues and oversee repair works as required.Manage client escalations and high-level disputes – this may include attending Department of Fair Trading & QBCC inspections.Undertake weekly workflow meetings with Service & Warranty Officers to ensure all projects are completed in set timeframes.Providing mentoring and support for Service & Warranty Officers with escalated clients.Providing technical advice to both Service & Warranty Officers and Service & Warranty Coordinators.Document and manage the required Schedule of Works for maintenance and warranty jobs.Ensure all expenditure on jobs is appropriate to the works required.Ensure all escalated customers are communicated with regularly and professionally.Report to the Service and Warranty Manager on escalated claims, reoccurring maintenance issues and provide recommendations for improvement.Some overnight travel required.
You must haveExperience in a similar role with a residential building company preferredAn unencumbered drivers' licence as this role will involve a lot of drivingCertificate IV in Building and Construction requiredTrade or tertiary qualification in a construction-related discipline or similar i.e. trade qualified carpenter (preferred)Supervisor or Builders licence requiredSound knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, QLD QBCC Standards and Tolerances Guide, Safety regulations and quality assurance systems.
Your skills & abilitiesAbility to achieve prompt and professional outcomes for our customersAbility to maintain a consistent and very high standard of workIntermediate level in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook and data programmesStrong interpersonal/communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust have a high focus on customer satisfaction and problem-solving abilityStrong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlinesStrong focus in Administration, record keeping & attention to detail Ability to work autonomously as well as provide mentorship to the Service & Warranty Officers
