Gym Club Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Gym Club Manager to join Snap Fitness Raby, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of our gym club operations. As Gym Club Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences, driving business performance, and creating a thriving fitness community. This role is instrumental in achieving our strategic objectives and ensuring the sustained success of our gym facility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the gym club, including facility management, maintenance and safety compliance

• Manage and lead the gym staff team, including recruitment, training, performance management and development

• Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones through exceptional service

• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and work towards achieving revenue targets and profitability goals

• Ensure all health, safety and compliance standards are met, including risk management and duty of care obligations

• Create and maintain a positive gym culture that promotes member engagement, satisfaction and loyalty

• Manage member relations, handle complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner

• Oversee marketing and promotional activities to increase membership and facility utilisation

• Liaise with senior management on performance metrics, strategic initiatives and business development opportunities

• Maintain equipment standards and coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure optimal facility condition

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in gym or fitness club management or similar leisure facility management role

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff teams

• Demonstrated experience in driving membership growth and implementing successful retention strategies

• Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting and P&L responsibility

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to fitness facilities and the ability to ensure compliance

• Excellent customer service skills and a member-focused mindset

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships

• Experience with gym management software and systems

• Relevant qualification in gym management, fitness instruction, business management or related field (preferred)

• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
