Experienced Machinist & Wood Worker

Based in West Footscray, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Wood Machinist / Woodworker to join our manufacturing team. This is a key position within our operations, responsible for producing varying high-quality products and highly skill based that are critical to our manufacturing process.

With employment will come the duties of working in our wood machining department, where you will work with and machine our various types of materials including Solid Timber and other various boards.

As Coffin and Casket manufacturers, our scope often varies and having the skills to manufacture a number of special products from raw materials to meet customer specifications is a critical responsibility of this role.

The person we are seeking ideally has wood machining experience and is hands on capable of completing a number of wood working functions in the machining and assembly aspects. Other router or moulder experience would also be highly valued. 

With that said, we are also committed to growing our people and would be willing to offer employment to an individual with a desire to learn from our team by starting (or continue) a career in manufacturing. Either way, training will be provided.

Holding a forklift license will also be of benefit.
