About the role
About the role
You will be responsible for developing new business and managing relationships with customers such as landscapers and landscape contractors, builders and developers, civil and earthmoving contractors, concreters, plumbers and other trades, and commercial and government customers.
Key responsibilities
Identifying and securing new business across South East Queensland
Building strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers
Conducting regular customer visits and site meetings
Preparing quotes and following up sales opportunities
Understanding customers' projects and recommending suitable products
Working closely with our internal sales and operations teams
Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and customer records
Monitoring market activity, upcoming projects and competitor activity
Achieving agreed sales and margin targets
About you
Previous external sales or business development experience
Experience within landscaping, construction, civil works, building supplies or a related industry
Strong knowledge of construction and landscape materials
A proven ability to generate leads and win new accounts
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach
Strong organisation and follow-up skills
The ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
Confidence using quoting, CRM and general computer systems
A current Australian driver's licence
