Para broker / Office Assistant

About the role

BBT Finance is seeking a Para broker / Office Assistant to join the team in Penrith, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to support our mortgage broking operations whilst developing your skills in the financial services industry. You will work alongside an experienced broker, providing essential administrative and client-facing support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to establish a career in mortgage broking and property whilst maintaining a strong organisational foundation.

What you'll be doing

• Providing administrative support to mortgage broker, including preparing documentation, managing files and maintaining accurate records

• Assisting with client communications via telephone, email and in person to gather information and answer enquiries

• Processing mortgage applications and ensuring all required documentation is complete and submitted to lenders

• Coordinating with lenders, valuers and other third parties to progress loan applications

• Maintaining and organising client databases and filing systems

• Supporting the scheduling of client appointments and managing broker calendars

• Optimising training programs and workflows

• Assisting with general office management tasks including reception duties, data entry and report preparation

• Providing exceptional customer service to clients at various stages of their mortgage journey

• Manage, maintain and grow an existing loan book

What we're looking for

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a professional demeanour

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation

• Customer service experience, ideally in a professional or financial services environment

• A willingness to learn about mortgage broking and financial services products

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills

• Preferably, experience with mortgage broking software or banking systems (training will be provided)

• A commitment to confidentiality and compliance with financial services regulations
