About the role
Taldumande Youth Services is looking for an experienced, confident, values-driven coordinator to lead a frontline team supporting children and young people aged 12–18, and their families, to prevent family breakdown which can lead to homelessness and involvement in the youth justice system.
We provide high-quality case management, outreach and crisis-response services across our family and justice programs. This hands-on leadership role will lead by example and have the necessary skills to support a team of youth workers and case managers working with trauma affected young people in complex environments. Our aim is to implement diversionary strategies to reduce the risk of young people entering the justice system and strengthen family relationships through preservation and restorative practice.
This role reports to the program manager – youth housing: other duties include liaising with internal staff regarding referrals, intake and assessment, developing individualised case plans, providing crisis intervention and support, responding to accommodation needs, outreach and aftercare. You will play a key role in ensuring services are safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, focusing on practical outcomes for young people and families.
If you are an experienced youth, family, housing or justice services leader who wants to stay close to practice while supporting a committed team, this is a role that gives meaning and purpose.
