The Opportunity

As a Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering weekly payroll across multiple Hilton Foods sites throughout Australia and New Zealand. You'll work closely with leaders and employees to provide expert payroll support while ensuring compliance with Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation.

You'll also become a trusted expert in UKG Workforce Ready (Kronos), helping leaders navigate time and attendance, rostering and payroll processes while contributing to ongoing improvements across our payroll function.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Payroll Processing & Compliance

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time across multiple sites

• Manage new starters, employee changes, resignations and payroll adjustments

• Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation

• Complete payroll reconciliations and ensure payroll accuracy

• Maintain payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance

• Provide payroll advice and support to employees and leaders

• Build strong relationships across the business to deliver exceptional customer service

• Manage the Payroll Inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of enquiries

• Support payroll queries across Australia and New Zealand

• Support managers with rostering, timesheets and payroll calculations

• Assist with system administration and user support

• Promote best practice use of payroll systems

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in payroll administration, with a solid understanding of Awards, Agreements, and Legislation.

• Proficiency in the Kronos Workforce Ready system and payroll processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the food processing or related industry is advantageous.
